Answered vs. Returned RFIs

From a contractor user’s perspective an answered RFI is one that has been answered by the design/review team.

Once it is answered the next step is to return the RFI to the subcontractors. These RFIs are then moved to the Returned log.

The concept of these logs is to quickly identify RFIs that still need to be returned to subcontractors.
