Reject Submittals Uploaded by Subcontractors (for Contractors Only)

There are three options for a contractor to reject a submittal uploaded by a subcontractor. This assumes the submittal is still a draft and has not been forwarded to the design team.

To reject a submittal uploaded by a subcontractor

Delete the submittal and have the subcontractor start over.

Allow the subcontractor to edit the submittal. Subcontractors can edit their submittal as much as needed until it is issued to the design team.

Allowing the subcontractor to edit the submittal is the recommended course of action.

Close the submittal on the spot and include review comments. Please note that closing the submittal immediately opens the submittal to all users on the project, including the design and owner’s teams. The subcontractor would then create a revised submittal and the original submittal remains untouched.
