Edit Permissions for the General Message Category

By default, only a design team Project Administrator can edit the permissions for the General message category in the Message Forums module. However, if the project does not have a design team Project Administrator, a team member with the Architect role can edit the category permissions.

To edit permissions for the General message category

Select Edit Categories from the right navigation panel of the Message Forums module.

On the Forum Category Configuration page, select Edit Permission Access for the General Messages category.

On the Access Permissions page, select the users you want to have access to the message category. To select all users with a specific role, select the checkbox next to that role. Users included in the category see all messages in the forum, regardless of whether or not they were notified by email for a specific message.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save.
