Add Existing RFIs
Add Existing RFIs
It is possible to add existing RFIs to a project manually without going through the complete review process. This allows Project Administrators to add RFIs that have already been answered into the system so the project data is in a single location.
Notification emails are not sent when you add an RFI manually.
You must be a Project Administrator to add RFIs manually.
To manually add an existing RFI to a project
Click Administration > Add RFI Manually from the RFIs module.
On the Create RFI page, enter the information for the RFI as needed.
If an RFI has already been submitted but not answered, do not fill in a Returned to Contractor date. This leaves the RFI in an open state.
If an RFI has been returned, fill in the Returned to Contractor date to put it in a closed state.
Upload attachments to the RFI as needed.
A maximum of 50 attachments can be uploaded to an RFI.
Cross reference the RFI to other items within the project as needed.
Select Save to save the RFI.
