Message Forums Module

Use this module to quickly view and send messages related to the project to a selected user group.

Main Panel

The main panel of the Message Forums module displays logs of messages. When you first access the module, the All Messages log appears. The following items appear in the main panel of the Message Forums module:

Log Table

Displays the number, subject, category, and posted date of all messages that meet the log criteria. Click on a column header to sort by that value.

Print Results

Select Print Results to print the contents of the currently displayed log as they appear.

 

When you roll over a message, a list of action icons appears to the right of the message, as shown here:

The icons that appear depend on your user role and whether or not the message is in draft mode.

The following actions are available for messages:

View opens the View Message page.

Edit opens the Edit Forum Message page.

The Edit option is only available when the meeting is in draft mode. You must be the author of the draft to edit it.

Delete deletes the message.

The Delete option is only available when the meeting is in draft mode. You must be the author of the draft to delete it.

Print prints the message information.

The Print option does not print any attachments.

 

Navigation Panel

The following options are available in the navigation panel:

Add Message

Select to add a new message.

Message Categories

A list of available message logs. Select any of the logs listed in this section to view it in the main panel.

View All Messages

Single list of all messages you have access to.

My Draft Messages

A list of all your draft messages.

Logs by Message Category

Each log displays all messages in the selected category that you have access to. A log is available for each defined message category. If you do not have rights to a category, you will not see a log for it.

Add Category

Opens the Create Forum Category page, where Project Administrators can add message categories.

Edit Categories

Opens the Forum Category Configuration page, where Project Administrators can edit message categories they have created.

 

To access this module

Select Project Communication > Message Forums.
