Spatial Index Module

Use this module to view and maintain the spatial index for the project. The spatial index is typically used with the Quality Control module to track items such as punch lists, non-conforming items, and work to complete items.

Main Panel

The following items appear in the main panel of the Spatial Index module:

Log Table

A table of spaces lists the number, name, level, system type, and space type for each space, as shown below. Click on a column header to sort by that value:

 

When you roll over a space, a list of action icons appears to the right of the space, as shown here:

The icons that appear depend on your user role.

The following actions are available for spaces:

View opens the View Space page.

Edit opens the Edit Space page.

The edit option is only available to Project Administrators.

Delete deletes the space.

The delete option is only available to Project Administrators.

Print Simple Log

Select Print Simple Log to print the contents of the currently displayed log as they appear on screen.

View Full Log

Select View Full Log to perform more advanced sorting and filtering of the log data before printing.

Navigation Panel

The following options are available in the navigation panel:

Add Space

Click to add a new space to the index. Only Project Administrators can add spaces.

Logs

Select any of the logs listed in this section to view it in the main panel.

All Spaces

Single list of all spaces in the index.

Level

Select any of the levels listed to view a log of all spaces assigned to that level. A log is available for each defined level.

Space Type

Select any space type to view a log of all spaces assigned to that type. A log is available for each defined type.

Administration

This option is available only to administrators.

Module Configuration

Opens the Module Configuration page, where Project Administrators can manage how the module functions, including adding levels, space types, and importing the spatial index.

 

To access this module

Select Document Management > Spatial Index.
